How to Tell the Weight of a Deer

I’m talking about weighing on the hoof. This is not a full-proof, but it will get you close. This is what a deer should weigh after being field dressed.

You will want to add 1/4 to the total weight, so lets say you have killed a deer and put it on a scale of some sort and it has weighed 150 lbs. add 1/4 to the total weight and now you know what weight the deer was walking around at, somewhere about 175 lbs.
